I've been playing for about a year now, exclusively on a 30" scale instrument, and want to make the step up to a full-scale bass. I've tried a P-bass and didn't like how fat the neck felt, so I'm looking for something with a skinny neck in the £400 range. I've narrowed my options down to a Squier CV Jazz bass, the Yamaha TRBX304, the Ibanez SR300, the Schecter C-4 Standard, and the Sire Marcus Miller V5. Are there any build quality issues or other factors that would make any of these a particularly good or bad choice for someone who's mainly playing rock, metal, and punk?

One in 14 children who die in England have closely related parents, study finds

I quite like the Ash Engineer from LO: Highhelm - a once-dwarven mechanical lich whose mind was warped by an alien device and who now leads a cult of sorcerer-smiths from a secret fortress disguised as a temple of Torag.
Barcelona make Harry Kane first-choice target to replace Robert Lewandowski
theguardian.com/football/2025/nov/12/barcelon...The Tuskers exist to highlight the brutal inconsistencies of organized government through disruption of taxable activities, destruction of profit-generating capital, seizure of assets in support of our goals, and the murder of pilots not in harmony with our programme.
That has been the Tuskers’ corp description since our founding in 2008. In recent years, a significant part of that disruption, destruction, asset seizure, and murder has taken place in the arena of the Alliance Tournament, where we became champions last year and returned this year to defend our title. This is how we did that and took our third overall tournament win.

Having played a number of melee maguses across the level range, I've encountered a few issues with the design of the class - the hybrid studies vary widely in the quality and usefulness of their unique feats and conflux spells, there is a very limited array of conflux spells to use, and a severe lack of appealing class feats at higher levels. Since a Secrets of Magic remaster does not seem to be coming any time soon, I've homebrewed some solutions to these issues: https://scribe.pf2.tools/v/hBfB5ttJ-magus-rebalance
The document includes 8 new class feats, 3 new conflux spells, and changes to some existing feats and conflux spells. If you have a moment to look it over, I'd appreciate any and
Demise of TGP Europe leaves Premier League clubs with income gap to fill
theguardian.com/football/2025/jun/06/demise-o...Since I started GMing a few years ago, my main system has been pathfinder 2e, and while there are many things I like about the system, one thing I dislike intensely is the way it handles solo bosses, which are mostly differentiated from other monsters by having bigger numbers* - higher AC, higher saves, and so on. This has several major negative aspects IME. One is that there's a high likelihood that a player's turn will have no effect because they miss all their attacks or the monster negates their spells/abilities, which is quite frustrating and can lead to players just switching off. Second, it makes boss fights very same-y because the most effective way of dealing with the big numbers is

Who are we?
I am Skyler Hawk, CEO of the Tuskers and now-retired AT logi pilot. The Tuskers is a small-scale PvP corp that was founded in 2008 as a lowsec piracy group and subsequently moved into a nullsec static wormhole to roam 0.0. We first entered the Alliance Tournament in AT12 and eventually won AT14, but after the tournament went on hiatus following AT16 most of our original team members drifted away from Eve and ultimately won the game altogether. When tournament play resumed with the Alliance Open a few years ago, we formed a new team under the leadership of Mira Chieve. Around this time, we also recruited VLD Miromme, who was new to tournament play but threw himself enthusiast
