I recently got a PG27UCDM OLED monitor. There is some pretty distracting brightness adjustments that I notice, especially when I close/open windows.

You can see pretty large brightness changes in the entire screen the instant I move even a little bit of a white window onto the monitor. Is this what ABL is and I have to live with it? Or is there some setting?

I have somfy blinds that I’ve hooked up to HomeKit through a bond bridge. The blinds show up as a slider from 0-100, but I don’t want it to. I want the blinds open or closed. Is there a way to do this?

Is there a way to do this independently of what the current state of the blinds are? I have an issue now where if someone uses the remote to close the blinds, then they cannot be opened because HomeKit thinks they are already open

I recently bought a condo in a high rise. It is 2BR ~1400sqft. I have my 6E router in one corner of the condo. Most of the day, this covers the entire condo pretty well, and I got 400-800 mbps down depending where I stand.

Now here’s the weird thing: a couple times a day, for about an hour at a time, I get practically no internet in the farther corner. Walking ~5 feet puts me from 200 down to 0-5. My phone shows full WiFi bars, but I cannot access anything on the internet. I cannot pinpoint any differences in anything during the times when it is working vs when it is not. What could this be?

I’m buying a condo that has a subzero fridge with no water dispenser. If it wasn’t such an expensive fridge I would probably just replace it with something that had a water dispenser, since it’s very important to me to have cold filtered water quickly to fill up my water bottle

The tap doesn’t put out water cold enough on its own. I’d really rather not have to deal with filling up a water filter and putting it in the fridge. I found one under sink water chiller but it has a lot of bad reviews talking about leaks

Are there any good options here?

I started going to the sim a lot recently now that it’s cold, and the driver numbers are really throwing me off. My swing speed and ball speed are accurate (around 115/mid-high 160s), but the spin rate is absolutely wild, often 4000+. This leads to even my best struck balls on the sim going ~275

When I play on the course, my well struck drives NEVER go less than 280, and I’ll typically have a couple of 300+ total distances per round on flat courses + minimal wind. There’s at least a 20 yard gap between my sim drives and outdoor drives. It’s been maybe 75 drives on the sim and I’ve only hit one over 280 (which was 305)

Before I get a bunch of “cope” comments, I’m pretty honest with my game.

I love playing nice looking courses. Lots of water, hills, etc. Don’t care as much about the difficulty or golf history.

So far some of my favorites are Mistwood and the Starboard course at Harborside. I’m playing Cantigny this weekend. What other courses should I be looking at in the area?

Is there no way to get a somewhat legit handicap for free if you play 9 hole courses sometimes? 18Birdies is fine, but it treats 9 holes the same as 18 instead of combining 9 hole rounds, making my handicap lower than it should be. I checked out the grint but it seems to only have paid options
