We just got the strata report for an apartment we inspected over the weekend. The report was prepared before the latest AGM held last month, so it doesn’t include the minutes from that meeting.

There're a couple of items on the AGM agenda relating to potential special levies, so we would like to know before making our next move. The apartment complex is more than 20 years old and is due for lift replacement and external painting.

As it hasn’t been two weeks since the AGM, the minutes may not be finalised yet. Is it ok to ask for the latest AGM minutes (or draft minutes)? And who would normally be the best person to request them from, REA, strata manager? We don't have a conveyancer so if

Hi, I have a couple of questions:

  1. Higher-than-usual monthly expenses: In December, our expenses are almost double compares to the rest of the year (annual car rego, half-yearly car maintenance, Christmas gatherings, and a short getaway). The other months are much lower. Do lenders look at these seasonal spikes closely, or do they usually average out spending across several months?
  2. Probation period: My partner just started a full-time permanent job and is still on probation until Jan. He moved from fintech role in a private company to a finance role in the government), with only a 1-day gap between jobs.

For context:

  • LVR will be between 60–70%
  • We keep our money in differ

Hi all,

I'm asking on behalf of family members, residents of Country A. They booked and paid for a two-week Europe tour to a tour company based in Country B (their home country), and they will depart & return to Country B.

The tour company is aware that my family members will apply for a Schengen visa in Country A, where they currently live. The company provided a sponsor letter, round-trip flights, travel insurance, accommodation details, and itinerary (in foreign language).

I have a few questions:

  1. For proof of personal ties and financial documents, should these be from Country A (where the visa will be lodged), or Country B (where they will travel from)? They are retired, own prop

Background check

Post-interview

I’ve received a job offer, and the new company is conducting a background check through a third-party company. My CV is accurate, and all my employment history and qualifications are correct. Never had any issues with background checks in the past.

Today I checked my background check progress and noticed that the CV check has been marked as cancelled, while the other checks are complete. Does anyone know why the CV check might have been cancelled? Thank you!

Hi all,

My 7yo is fully toilet-trained since January this year. Unfortunately he refuses to use the toilet at school. We have social story, rewards, scheduled toilet break with a timer (his favorite), let him uses the kiddies bathroom that he likes, etc but he has meltdown everytime they ask him to go. So he has wee accident every day at school.

The teacher, teacher aides, OT and the continence nurse don't want him to go back to nappy (he also refuses to wear nappy & pull-up) but I don't know what else we should do now tbh.

I sometimes take him to the toilet at school during drop off or when there's a special event and he always goes happily. The school try to have the same teacher aid
