Maybe I'm misremembering but I am a bit surprised they weren't involved in a benefit or did a benefit of their own at the time. I know they were sorta done after the farewell tour but I am absolutely sure if they wanted to it could have come together.

Kiss should have been on the MSG benefit bill in some fashion. No makeup. Unplugged. I'm sure there is something in the catalog that would have been respectful enough.

A taper from Chicago dumped his huge collection on the Internet Archive recently and included in it was an L7 show from 1989.

This is an interesting era. You have the original songs from the first era being cranked out alongside some that would become the Smell the Magic and Bricks are Heavy foundations. Jennifer is still on heroin here. They are profoundly more aggressive in their stage banter here than in the MTV era (bodily fluids, cleanliness, sex...even a reference to Texas Chainsaw Massacre and head cheese? are all there).

Almost assuredly drug and alcohol induced mayhem.

I saw this late one night on a streaming service I believe. I think I arrived at it after reading an article about lesser known French New Wave films. This is a black and white film from the late 50s/60s.

Anyway, I forgot the title and I really want to see it again because it was quite beautiful in a very simplistic, rough way.

It's about a skinny young man around 18-20 I think (but could be younger). It's framed as a period of economic hardship. This character does not have a job and there are others in the same boat. He hangs around this social club with a juke box doing nothing. I think the club had large glass windows around it.

He is obsessed with getting a jacket that has since go

There seems to be a narrative going around on TikTok about a black player on the team receiving racial harassment from players and coaches. The odd thing is the player allegedly affected is not the one speaking but rather siblings and friends. She transfered in from Ball State this season too. It seems fishy to a degree but maybe there is something more going on there?

I'm not talking about tabloid leaks from the 70s. I assume with Peter it was sometime during the Out of Control promotion stage. Ace laid low for a bit after leaving. End of 84 he got Frehley's Comet going so I assume around then.

I just want to know if they was a specific date this happened or whether it was even remotely a curiosity as the MTV unmasking was in 1983.
