All I remember for certain is that the aliens were obsessed with TV, but only the commercials. One of the mascots was a ladybug who could spray bug spray out of their head, because they had a nozzle on top of their head. The mascots weren't as useful as the kid thought they would be. I read this book in the third or fourth grade in the late '90s, but I don't think I ever finished it. It's possible it was an '80s book since some books at my school's library were kinda old, but I doubt this is the case.
It had something to do with the original Game Boy refusing to be obsoleted or something, fighting the GBA, and being defeated at the end in a bright flash. Used pixel graphics. Featured a very long epic heavy metal song. Probably inspired by Final Fantasy or some other JRPG, though I'm not familiar with the genre.
YouTube suddenly broke sometime yesterday. It doesn't seem to be any of my extensions that are the problem, and both Firefox and Safari work fine.
This probably way too niche and obscure, but I remember attending a meeting for group called GHOULA (Ghost Hunters of Urban Los Angeles), who were enthusiasts and investigators of hauntings in LA.
I don't remember what year it was (sometime in the mid 2010s), but there a goth band there that evening called... Clown Fetus.
Normally I wouldn't listen to a band with that name, but I remember enjoying their music well enough. What I remember most is a song they did called "Poison Candy", which was inspired by that Halloween urban legend. My brother and my mom can back me up on this.
Thing is, I can't find anything about the band, at all. I've contacted the members of GHOULA, but they haven'
Wikipedia's citations are pretty much useless when they fail to mention the title of the book or article they're citing.
I'm trying to find the source for a description of moss folk, but the citation only says "Classification as race of elves and description, Thistelton-Dyer, 1889". Google gives me nothing. Can anybody tell where to read the darn thing?
Not sure if this can be solved with different settings or not. Whenever I run this game I get a message saying "IF EXIST SOUND.CFG GOTO RUNGAME" (which sounds like code), followed by an error saying "GOTO: Label RUNGAME not found".
At first I thought that meant the game wouldn't run at all, since deleting sound.cfg seemed to fix it temporarily. But then I just went ahead and tried typing "pd.exe" and the game ran without any further issues.
Is there any way of getting around this? It's only a minor inconvenience, but it'd be nice to just skip typing the command, like most games I use DOSBox for.
