I've been playing Tomb Raider 1,2,3 remastered alongside Shadow and I have nailed a few things that have me choosing the former over the later every time. Shadow had overcomplex unfun mechanics. Uninteresting side missions. Not enough thought provoking puzzles. But most of all, the emotional is always there in your face at every opportunity. Almost every line from Lara and Jonah and pretty much any character feels laced with emotional strain. I find it irksome. The originals put me in place to place to deal with on my own and explore without all the emotional baggage. I also loved LAU trilogy because it didn't feel as overplayed as Shadow does at least.

I need Japanese speaking partners to practice with and was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat or would be interested in helping. I'm aware of the Bristol fb group but their meetings are always during my work hours. I'm intermediate beginner level and my Italki teacher says I have basic conversation ability. Would anyone be interested in meeting at some point during weekends to practice?
