I don't know much about obd readers but I want to get one for my crv to play around a little. Preferably cheap and preferably from a global shipping market like AliExpress/Temu.

But searching there yield multiple different models like elm327, kw906, etc... so I don't know which one to go for.

I am gonna do some more research, but may be you guys will have some recommendations on this away?

I think notebookcheck, being the best source for laptop reviews and specs, could do a better job in highlighting the efficiency of laptop CPUs, because this is major factor and the efficiency is where the major advances are happening in hardware now. You are showing the full load with cinebench multi-core test, which is valuable but does not show the full picture.

Real example:
intel 14900hx vs intel 285hx cpu comparison, which on paper look very similar in specs, but behave very differently in reality due to very different efficiency curves, they perform very similar at the highest power level where they both cant stay for long due to thermal reasons, but have a huge difference

Expert Raw app either fails to launch, or launches with some ui elements missing and then crashes.

I am mostly concerned about the display being OLED, since I'm going to burn it out invetably, I don't need it as the main display but it just feels like a waste.

But the specs look for the price irregardless of the display technology.

I want it to roon Ubuntu windows dualboot, for Deb work with multiple IDEs, docker, vms etc and light gaming on windows occasionally.

My work needs more processing power, so I'm planning to transfer my 24.04 Ubuntu environment to a new body. What workstation/gaming laptops should I aim for that have good Linux/Ubuntu support out of the box.

Exact hardware doesn't matter. Any workstation horse HX ending CPU will do. For GPU anything will do, but it would be good if it is 3070 and higher in spec, 2 m2 slots minimum.

Planning to buy used locally, so I'm just looking for advice what yo look for.

Had a good experience with razer, but my prev ones the battery died and the laptop also died and is not fixable, also want to avoid Acer due to personal experience.
