I think that my goal is happiness, and things like money, status, achievements are things that I might strive for because I think that they might make me happy. (Or I suppose maybe they would make my family happy and their happiness would make me happy)

Since I observed that they don't make me happy, and simple things like swimming, being in nature, being loved do make me happy, I have stopped striving for the more material things.

Is everyone aiming for happy, with material achievements just a means to an end? Or do some people have different end goals?

Like, if you could be RICH OR HAPPY but not both, is there anyone who would choose RICH ? And why?

I just finished the series - isn't it lovely? I wondered if anyone had read the book and whether it adds a lot of detail and answers some questions. Maybe some recipes?
