For context, I used to use Plex all the time and it just worked (years ago, running the server on my gaming pc) and have recently got it set up again running on truenas with hexos.

It works beautifully on my laptop but on my TV (Sony bravia Google os) it just randomly disconnects and I can't watch anything. My setup goes as follows: hexos server to wired connection to ubiquiti switch to fiber connection to ubiquiti dream machine to wired connection to the TV.

Is it just the TV app that is terrible? Should I just switch to jellyfin? Am I just an idiot? Any advice is more than welcome

I am trying to get my hands on a tactrix cable but it seems like they have been MIA since announcing the openport 3.0 almost a year ago. I tried reaching out and haven't heard back after 2 weeks, anyone know what's going on? Ebay listings are few, far between and wildly overpriced

So this has been an issue for while on and off. Basically my server just seems to disconnect from nearly everything randomly, but strangely some things seem to still work? For example I have a coral tpu running frigate, it still blinks like it's working on something. As well as my zigbee network somehow still functions device to device.

But all gui control, browser or app and all esphome devices stop working entirely. This is fixed every time by manually restarting the machine.

Originally I suspected a network issue but that does not seem to be the case, at least not the connection from router to HA.

For reference I am running HA directly on a frankly very overkill mini PC hardw

I gotta say the advertising blitz is really working on me, I went from thinking narwhal was just a strange aquatic mammal to being extremely tempted to buy the new flow model.

I currently have a roborock s7 max ultra that I have had for a few years, and it has been great but the narwhal mopping just looks sooo much better.

Looking to hear some opinions about the company, the new model and how they interact with home assistant and how open source they are.

So over the last month my tp link routers have been getting worse and worse. To the point now where it's having trouble staying connected when I'm sitting on the couch 10 feet from the router.

My set up is slightly unique because my shop is too far from the house for a WiFi based mesh so I have a fiber cable going from the house to the shop and a router in each. I will require 4 ports on each router for it to be a drop in replacement, anyone have any recs?

Anybody got some recs for an e85 kit? I usually just go to cobb for performance parts but it would be cool to get some input before I pull the trigger
