Hi folks,

Over the last week, we've had numerous users report that Outlook on the Web is no longer alerting (either through a popup notification or an alert sound) when new email arrives - as such, email is being missed. The desktop application appears to be working as normal.

I've confirmed all the settings are set to alert the user, both in the Outlook settings and in the browser itself. We've tried full browser resets, alternative browsers, different networks - the results are always the same. I'm even noticing it in my own personal email address through outlook.com

I've raised it as an issue on the o365 admin portal but I'm just wondering if anyone else has or

Anyone else a bit pissed off about the Tough Mudder emails that come through? You can unsubscribe, but they basically have you over a barrel by saying that if you unsubscribe from their marketing emails, then you'll miss crucial race info:

Start times

Course maps

Exclusive offers and promotions

Parking changes

Last-minute weather issues

New events and venues

I love the idea of Tough Mudder but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth :(

Hi wonderful people, I have a bit of a query. Every week I am sent an excel workbook containing around 50 worksheets, all containing names, email addresses, and each user's accrued TOIL for that week. Each sheet is formatted differently, however one consistency they have is that the data I'm hoping to manipulate is always in the format of user's name in one cell, then the email address below it, then their TOIL value below that.

I'm looking for some kind of script which can search through each sheet, locate an address, create an email to this user, then populate it with text issuing a report to the user regarding how much TOIL they have left.

I'm able to do this on a per user basis us

What's happened to the place? Walked under the Heilander's umbrella towards the Tollbooth. In that time I must have seen

  • about 3 "buskers" vigorously strumming all the strings on their guitar all with some weird strained, manic expression
  • 2 pregnant lassies smoking
  • was almost charity mugged twice, then, forgetting myself, I went to take a leaflet that was being handed out, and the guy wouldn't let it go - it was another chugger in disguise.

And all that was before you enter the mysterious "Leather" zone just after Glassford St!

Woe betide anyone on holiday who finds themselves on this unsavoury part of the "Style Mile" :(

Has anyone done it, the overnight service? What's it like, does it have wifi etc? I'm considering giving it a try later this month.

I've heard that they ask that you sleep with your feet to the front "because two broken legs are easier to deal with than a broken neck".

Hi folks,

I have a large CSV with numerous records, but only two fields "filename" and "data". Running the below script nearly does exactly what I want (saves the contents of the data field with the appropriate filename), but it's putting a data header in each csv it creates. Anyone know how to alter this so that it's just the contents of the data field that is saved in each csv, rather than data + header?

Code is:

$csvFile = "C:\csvs\CSVtxtfiles.csv" $folderPath = Split-Path -Parent $csvFile Import-Csv -Path $csvFile -Delimiter "`," | foreach { $OutFileName = join-path -Path $folderPath -ChildPath $($.Filename + ".csv"); $|select-object Data|export-csv -NoTypeInformation -Path $OutFi

Hi folks,

Ok, I might award gold to anyone that guide me through this - I'm sure it's probably a very basic process but it's been getting one over on me for a while now :|

I have a table with two columns that I'm interested in, lets call them "Filename" and "Data".

Can anyone explain to me how I can export the contents of each data cell to a file, with the contents of the "filename" cell to be the name of the file (which may be xls, jpg, txt etc?

Ie lets say I have there's a record where the filename is mustard.xls and the data in the data field is the contents of the xls file. From this I'd want mustard.xls. Can anyone tell me how I can come up with a solution to this to run on ea

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar and may have advice on how to make the end of my brother's life a bit more comfortable.

He had skin cancer which has now spread to liver, spleen, lung, and spine (and even possibly the brain). He's unable to walk, has massive fluid retention (ascites?), and pitted edema. The damage to his spine has meant that he finds it incredibly uncomfortable to lie down, and the swelling around his liver has meant that he can't lie on his side of front.

He had a seizure last week then another stronger one on Thurs evening. I honestly thought we had lost him, there was a gurgling in his breathing and his eyes had rolled ba

Hi folks,

Just a quick question - when the vote is over and the votes counted and verified, is it just a case of the majority wins? Is the percentage calculated over the total number of people who voted, or the total population of Scotland? If the latter is the case, doesn't that mean abstaining = no vote?

Hi folks,

Earlier this year my brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer (lung, spleen, liver and spine - doesn't do things in halves, my bro!). We were talking recently about what he wants to do this Christmas - one thing he really wants to do is to travel to NYC. So we've saved up, and myself and he are going to visit your wonderful city on 28th December, staying for five days.

Can anyone advise any kind of activities/sightseeing tours that are wheelchair friendly? The spinal cancer has broken two vertebrae so he's not really able to walk very far, and as it's just the two of us, it'll be me pushing the whole time - can anyone advise if the underground system is wheelchair friendly?
