The Health Minister announced today that quarantine periods for vaccinated travelers will be reduced from 14 to 7 days starting in April. Reuters has an interesting article about it. Just wanted to share with the sub!

Anyone considering going?

Does anyone have any educated guesses about when international borders will reopen in popular destinations within Europe and Asia?

I’ve researched it online, read articles published in the travel industry, and read posts/comments in travel groups like this one. Once the elderly and vulnerable are vaccinated, I hope we’ll see a dramatic drop in Covid deaths and hospitalizations, which I hope will lead to many international borders being reopened.

I was thinking that many countries in Europe and Asia will reopen their borders to vaccinated travelers during the summer of this year, 2021. But I’ve seen comments online that indicate that many travelers believe it’ll be 2022 before travel is all

Are there any countries or destinations that require proof of health insurance to enter?

I'm based in the US, and do not currently have a health insurance plan here. I'm looking into purchasing private health insurance eventually because I realize it’s risky not to have it. But for now, I don't have health insurance, and I'm wondering if countries in Europe and Asia will require it. My plans are to travel throughout Europe and Asia for several months in the second half of 2021, and this is my first time ever traveling internationally.

Here in the US, private health insurance open enrollment periods are typically in November/December only. If health insurance is required, would another type

My Also Boughts occasionally disappear when I refresh the page. They're replaced by a short list of 4 books under the heading: "What other items do customers buy after viewing this item?"

Is this happening for anyone else? I noticed it about 2 weeks ago, but then it stopped. Now it's starting again. To worry or not?

Anyone else having issues with Book Report after their update today? Seems like they're working with/through Author Central now. Earnings haven't updated in several hours.

Hey everyone! Recently, u/throwiethetowel left a comment on an old post (see here for context), and I wanted to share it with everyone. The comment completely changed the way I approach this business, so I asked Throwie’s permission to share those words here. If any of them are confusing, be sure to see the link above for appropriate context.

By shifting the way I view this line of work, I was able to treat it more like an actual job. I defined my goals and followed Throwie’s advice. I can’t recall where I saw this mentioned on EA previously (might have been another Throwie comment), but s

Hey everyone. I generally publish on Mondays, and my also boughts normally kick in by Thursday. However, I published a book yesterday and the ABs have already appeared. This is the first time they've ever shown up so quickly.

Did Amazon change their system to show ABs immediately after publishing?

Has anyone ever posted their first chapter (or first few chapters) on Facebook for your followers to read? Obviously this would need to happen before publishing on Amazon, and the chapter(s) would need to be deleted before publishing on Amazon to avoid violating their terms. Edit: Actually, I'm unsure about the need to delete it/them from Facebook. Do Amazon's terms allow for publishing a small percentage of one's book publicly?

The Look Inside preview offers a glance at the first 10% of a book, so I thought it might be a good idea to briefly put it up on Facebook, or in Facebook groups (along with the cover). That would mean thousands of eyeballs on it, and it just might intrigue a f

Hello everyone, I just wanted to post a few quick numbers here. It has been 120 days, and I’ve made just below $8,000. I’m happy to see that my income is gradually going up each month, but I’m really disappointed with a sequel I just published, so the feeling is bittersweet. However, I’m pretty sure I know what I did wrong with the sequel, and I think it boiled down to lack of effort with the story. Book One wrapped up beautifully with a HEA and no cliffhangers, and I don’t think it made readers want more.

I've heard about bundles containing larger collections of erotica, but I'm wondering if anyone would recommend publishing a collection of romance novels.

I'm coming up on my seventh novel, and I've been thinking about publishing a collection/omnibus of all my novels. They're all within the same genre/niche, and I'm mostly just looking to make a few extra bucks.

I launch my books at 99 cents for 1-2 weeks before upping the price to $2.99, and obviously my older books aren't pulling in as much money anymore, so I was thinking about pricing the collection somewhere between $9.99 and $12.99. Any thoughts?

What are your general thoughts on publishing around Christmas?

I'm not sure where I got the idea, but someone mentioned to me that it would be advantageous to wait until early January to publish a romance novel. Generally speaking, my books peak around 7 days after I publish, so it struck me as a bad idea to have a book peak on or near Christmas Day. Any thoughts?
