Player Triggered a Boss Fight By Themselves

Need Advice: Encounters & Adventures

So last week in my Grim Hollow game, the players were tasked with a very simple puzzle. I'm sure you've all heard of it or used it, the color cup puzzle. They needed to drink the green cup but there was only enough for one player, so they needed to combine yellow and blue to make green and drink it. Well on the other side of this "barrier" that would let them through if they if drank it was a long winding staircase that led to the boss fight of this dungeon.

They figured that since there was only enough for one player to drink, they would send one person through and figure out how to go from there. Well one player went all the way down into the boss's lair. I improved a wisdom saving throug

I'm having a problem in 5e all of a sudden where everything that has a use; features, weapons, etc, requires a charge be used and is prompting for it when my players try. They are unable to use half of their stuff because it saying 0 charges are available even though it is set to not require charges. This happens regardless if I reimport everything, add it manually, etc. It only works if I go in an add a max charge amount.

I'm very confused and it's slowing down my games quite substantially. Any tips are apprecated.

First time players' character choices

Need Advice: Encounters & Adventures

Hello everyone, I'm a first time DM about to run my first adventure with some friends who have never played before. I let them choose from a list of modules and decided to throw in Grim Hollow since it's something I'm really interested in as well. To my surprise they chose the grim hollow option and wanted a homebrew adventure. I explained to them that it's a very dark and gritty setting with a lot of horror vibes and they were all super on board.

I gave them some basic information about the world and let them make characters however they wanted but set some ground rules. No sasuke/lone wolf type characters, and reminded them that they are level 1 so they wouldn't be able to include some r

Hello everyone! I'm trying to find some suggestions for something for my pup to chew on. I'm a little concerned regarding choking because of how big his mouth is, so most bully sticks, dental chews, etc, gets to where he can fit them entirely in his mouth very quickly and it becomes a hazard. Recently I tried DuoClenz dental chews and he chews it for about 3 minutes before it gets lodged on the roof of his mouth.

For a while I've just been avoiding these, but he loves them so much I'd like to find something that could work. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Hello r/Maplestory. This isn't really a "what main should I make" post but it also kind of is. I'm a returning player, haven't played since 5th job came out and before that I didn't really do much besides get carried in CRA. I'm coming back to the game and I'm genuinely curious how people feel about farming fatigue and what your experience 230+ is like, especially on jobs that arent known for they're great farming.

I've basically narrowed my "main class" down to jobs that have very good rates or brain dead farming and am trying to find one I enjoy most, but considering there are so many jobs out there and not all of them are ideal for farming, and all jobs are played, I'm really curious wh

Super confused. Have been playing fine all day today, closed the game, decided to install Slippi (the smash bros melee Zip) and now whenever I try and commence a duty finder, I instantly crash with no error code. Tried deleting Slippi, still happens now. Have updated drivers, reinstalled them, turned off firewall and anti-virus, booted in Dx9. Nothing is working. I can play the game perfectly fine when I'm not in a dungeon, but as soon as I join one I instantly crash. Has anyone experience anything like this?

Before you downvote, I know technically you can scuttle your ship and avoid griefing all together but it seems I have to do that much more than I did before the vault update. I understand hunting me down and taking my shit, thats fine, sink my ship too if you can! But lately I've been trying to get new people to enjoy the game and it's been hard since we can't feasibly take on a galleon with 2-3 new players. Maybe it's just something that irks me, but it feels way worse having to sink your own ship because you can't even load back onto it without getting shot from behind, than just losing in a battle and starting over. Regardless of how you feel about it, it seems to be happening a LOT more
