Washing normal gore pieces is pretty standard since I'm following the care video on the Arcteryx website. However, when it comes to insulated gore pieces I'm finding a lot of water being trapped inside the jacket.
My current method is to squeeze out as much water as possible then toss into the dryer on medium heat. However, I've noticed running my jacket in the dryer twice now on medium heat for 45min to 1 hour water is still trapped in the cuffs and bottom of the jacket.
Does anyone have any advice when it comes to the wash and care for these products?
I recently purchased my first Arc’teryx jacket the Magnus coat. I was wondering if there is something similar in style or material that people would recommend.
Eg. goretex outer with insulation but waist length.
As I am finding the longer length for train/bus commute can get awkward.
Also would the blade 20 make for a good backpack for day trip/daily commute?
I am in an area with lots of rain which is why I would prefer the goretex outer as it really is convenient
