I've been out to various people for 25 years, but I still go through periods when I don't accept myself. I was sexually abused as a kid and adolescent, and this gave me a lot of shame that I still carry. I think those experiences have made it hard for me to feel good about myself around my sexuality. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm just looking to reach out and connect with other bi guys who are married, as I don't really know any others in real life. Not looking for hook ups, just friends.
UPDATE: Wow, I'm really amazed at all the responses to this post. Thank you all for replying. It's so cool that there are so many married bi guys, or formerly married bi guys, out there.
For general info about me, I'm in my 40s, been married for 19 years, we have two kids. My wife has known I'm bi for over 20 years. It was rough in the beginning, I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea that I could like both men and women, thought I had to choose. Before we got married I was so scared that I would realize I was really
I haven't seen you in a while, Bisexual Superhero. I could use some of your super energy.
I'm a middle aged bisexual guy. I'm married to a woman, and we have two kids. She has known about my sexuality for over 20 years, and we are monogamous. I am more attracted to women on a more frequent basis, but I am also attracted to guys at times. I masturbate without porn, and most of my fantasies are for women, but some are for men.
I have a rainbow flag up in my office at work, and I am out to many my friends. I like watching boxing, and I love sports. I read a lot. One of my kids is special needs. My day revolves around my family and work. I am happy sometimes, and depressed sometimes.
This is a snapshot of my life.
Short version: Told my wife I looked at gay porn, she wasn't happy.
Long version: My wife has known I'm bi for over 20 years, this caused problems early in our relationship because I wanted to be with her and explore my sexuality. She is very monogamous, so I never did explore, I chose to be with her.
Fast forward to this morning, I mentioned how I really enjoyed making love with her the other day, and I wanted to make love again. Then I mentioned that I looked at gay porn last night (I had seen an attractive guy the other day and was thinking about him). She knows I look at porn, but usually straight porn. She had a bad reaction to me looking at guys, it sparked insecurities in her.
For those who get depressed, or down on themselves: How does your bisexuality play into your depression, if at all? For myself, when I'm happy I feel good about being bisexual and I enjoy all of my sexual feelings. When I get down, I'm negative on being bisexual, and my libido is way lower.
I might be moving to Kingman from a city, and after reading comments in other internet threads, I'm freaking out a little. Is Kingman really so bad? I've been through it, and it seemed pretty cool.
Are you going as part of a bisexual group? Are you just going with a friend? I actually have a little time to get to the festivities next weekend, but I don't really have a group to join. I'm going to ask some friends if they want to go. There is a Chicago bisexual meetup, but I haven't been able to make it to any of their events.
I guess if there are any bisexual hangout places, I'd like to find them.
For some reason I am not liking the label bisexual lately. I am attracted to women and men, in a monogamous marriage with a woman. I guess I feel like the label bisexual doesn't necessarily fit me. The strange thing is, sometimes I really like labeling myself bisexual. I know there are advantages to labels, and sometimes disadvantages. Anybody else have any thoughts?
I am having very strong desires to have sex with other people. Today, it is men I desire. Recently, I desired other women. I'm a guy and my wife and I are monogamous. I have been looking at porn and masturbating lately, but it is only making the urges stronger.
How have other people handled these feelings when they are very strong?
Side note: My wife and I have been very tired and stressed and haven't had much time for each other lately. Hmmm, I think this is very relevant.
I am wondering if people have different types of crushes on different genders. I recently (past few weeks) have found this guy I know pretty hot. I find guys attractive at times, but usually during my day to day life I notice hot women much more often. I am sort of having the fuzzy feelings when thinking about this guy, and at some level it freaks me out.
I think it is easier to acknowledge and enjoy these feelings for women. I have made a lot of progress in self acceptance and enjoying my sexual feelings for guys. I guess I want to share this crush because it feels good, and I'm not looking for anything from it. I'm married to a woman and monogamous, but I can still enjoy my fantasie
I was at work today, and four of us were talking. One of my coworkers is a lesbian, she has the lesbian "haircut" (very short), and dresses with bow-tie, doc martens, things to let people know she isn't straight. We were all discussing how she has been giddy because she got a girlfriend recently.
One of my other coworkers made a comment about me, her, and the other guy with us being straight. I didn't say anything. I thought about it, thought of saying, "actually, I'm bisexual." I didn't feel safe though.
To be honest, I'm more worried how my lesbian coworker would react than I am about the macho coworker I have.
Anyways, I made a choice to keep my sexuality to myself. I have do
I'm wondering how other people express their bisexuality. I am a guy, married to a woman and monogamous. I share this part of myself with select people, and I read a lot of bisexual publications. I have an active fantasy life, and there are other ways I express myself. I would love to hear what you have to say.
The reason this causes emotional difficulties is that I am married to a woman whom I love with all of my heart. This has been one of the toughest things for me as a bisexual man, embracing my feelings when they take me by surprise. I say surprise because recently I had been much more attracted to women, and I was thinking, "I'm not really bi, I don't like labels, I just feel attracted to guys sometimes." Now, when I am leaning more towards feeling attracted to men, I think, "I'm gay, my feelings for men are stronger at the moment. Oh no, I have to get divorced now!"
Part of this is that I think way too much. Part of it is that I tend to stuff my sexual feelings at times, and
A week or so ago I wrote about my co-worker who ogles women. Today he made this comment regarding another co-worker's sweater: "Anyone else wear their fag sweaters today?" I couldn't believe he said that, although to him it's just a big joke. I said, "Are you really homophobic or just joking?" I was pretty pissed off.
Later he came to me and asked if he had offended me and apologized if he did. I said I find that language offensive and derogatory. He asked,"It's offensive to you?" And I said, "Yes, it's offensive to me." I told him I knew he was only joking, but he needs to be careful what he says.
I feel good that I spoke my mind and didn't stay silent. It brought back memories o
