Non-entrenched political parties and independent candidates must raise and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and gather around a million signatures just to get on the ballot. That is a significant barrier to entry to the political process imposed by Democrats and Republicans that most U.S. citizens do not know about. This subreddit tracks ballot access efforts by the leading non-duopoly parties as well as news pertaining to ballot access laws.
