     PLEASE READ!!

Be nice. Assume people are coming from a place of ignorance so try to educate instead of insult. If you have a history of trolling you will not be allowed to participate.
Posts need to be on-topic for the sub and in relation to advice, questions, and discussion. Meta-posts are allowed so long as they pertain to cats or the subreddit. Cute photos or videos will be subject to removal.
No fundraisers. Unfortunately fundraisers can be fraudulent, so it is easier to have a blanket rule against them. This includes paypal requests, GoFundMes, and other fundraisers. The sub would also be inundated if this were allowed. Please seek financial support subreddits for your needs.
No breed questions. Unless your cat came from a breeder or has a family member that came from a breeder, odds are your cat is a domestic shorthair/medium hair/long hair. Unlike dogs, cats do not have as well defined breeds outside of registered breeders.

Utilize NSFW filter. Posts containing images and video of gore (including injury or medical sites), sexual behavior, or other potentially disturbing imagery needs to be flagged as NSFW.
Content needs to be on topic for threads and the subreddit. Picking fights across multiple threads, soap boxing about political opinions, or picking fights with moderation are not allowed.
No fake posts or karma farming. Posts must be made in good faith for discussion in the subreddit. Low effort posts are subject to removal (this does not include updates to a post about a cat). If the post is entirely made up or stolen, it will result in an immediate ban.
