In the spirit of scientific curiosity part of the goal of this subreddit is to help characterize this phenomenon particularly with respect to how commonly it has been witnessed in history and how frequently it is witnessed today.

Previously unknown videos found on other social networks including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Weibo, VK or in languages other than English are particularly welcome. We recommend searching for videos using words like "strange", "weird", "bizarre", "odd", "unexplained", and "peculiar" combined with "cloud" and "light" in native languages to find previously unknown examples of this phenomenon where a video has been posted but the phenomenon has not been recognized therein.
