~~Why a Dashcam?~~

Dashcams are a cheap insurance policy. In case of an accident, the opposing party can lie about what happened to reduce the likelihood that they are found to be at fault. Happens all the time. Having video of what happened can save you $1000's in insurance and potential legal fees. Dashcams can also get you out of falsely written tickets. If you don't have a dashcam and are given a ticket for an infraction you didn't commit, it's your word vs the police officer's word. With a dashcam, there is irrefutable evidence to prove your innocence. There is absolutely no reason not to get one. See the listings below to get started.

Second, dashcam videos are an excellent form of driver's education. Watching videos of other accidents may help others recognize potential accidents before they happen and maybe even scare them out of bad driving habits such as texting and driving or speeding.

Youtube links are allowed as long as it is not an overt ad for your channel. This is a common sense and anti-SPAM rule, but it was asked to be spelled out. Approved pages/posts may earn for qualifying purchases through Amazon for the owner. Affiliate links may be allowed on a case by case basis but they can’t go against Reddit’s policy. Overt self-promotion is strictly prohibited. Anyone spamming links to their store, blog, youtube channel will be banned from the sub. Take a look at Reddit's self promotion policy.
