Why use the most well known English acronym for something completely different than what people have been taught?

Estimated time of Arrival? - No!
Edit: Yes!

Those poor non-English native speakers.

Edit always takes less keystrokes so you're not saving time!

Shift, E, Shift, T, Shift, A, Shift, ;. 8/7 strokes pending your caps-lock use. No, caps-lock doesn't work on colons.

Vs.

Shift, E, d, i, t, shift ;, 7 strokes

Find someone who used Edit properly? Make sure to send them some praise!

Don't forget to use np.reddit.com when cross-posting so people aren't brigaded needlessly. We're spreading awareness through shame, not crucifying them.
