Welcome to the only freedom-enriched subreddit (with no "sour grapes" console white knights yelling about piracy) dedicated to emulating console games (or virtualizing older computer games) on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Need help? Have tips? Have news? Have screenshots? Post here! Have fun and enjoy your all-powerful PC to its fullest!

Getting started

Make sure your games exist in ROM form (CoolROM, EmuParadise)
Download them and put them in a folder somewhere
Find an emulator that works on your OS
Open it and select the ROMs you downloaded
Play

Rules

Try to keep things on topic
No piracy white-knighting. They're not losing money by you downloading a ROM. They're losing money by not releasing their game for the PC. Making a subreddit about emulation and then BANNING people who post links to ROMs should be a crime.
