The World of Gor

r/gor

Gor is a series of science fiction / fantasy novels by John Norman which espouse a philosophy of honor and embracing of nature. It is also a subculture of people who follow this philosophy and practice consensual Master / slave relationship dynamics, often associated with, albeit distinct from BDSM, and kink culture at large. Still others know Gor mostly through role play, though such is not the focus of this particular community. All are welcome to discuss and learn!

Welcome to the Gor subreddit, the place to be for everything related to the world of Gor.

Renowned for its infamously controversial sexual themes, the Gor Saga is a set of over 30 books and counting set on the mythical planet of Gor, otherwise known as the Counter-Earth, in the sci-fi, fantasy, erotica, and "sword and planet" genres, written by John Norman, a professor of philosophy.

We welcome discussions of the books, the films, cosplay, roleplay (on and offline), living the Gorean lifestyle, and anything else related to Gor.

There are no strict rules here except don't troll and try to be nice to each other, and of course obey the rules of Reddit itself.

We hope you enjoy your stay on the planet of Gor.
