Vanguard just launched an ETF version of one of its most popular mutual funds. The new Vanguard FTSE Global All-Cap UCITS ETF gives instant global diversification — investing in over 7,000 companies, large to small, across developed and emerging markets — for an ongoing charge of just 0.07%.

How is the new Vanguard Global All-Cap ETF different to the popular Vanguard FTSE All-World ETF?

Here’s what Vanguard said in its own words:

“FTSE All-World ETF focuses on large and medium-sized companies, whereas the new FTSE Global All-Cap ETF also includes smaller businesses, helping investors spread the

The world of finance is full of terrible advice. Capital at risk.

Whether it’s from the gilet clad traders aiming for ‘the moon’, friends down the pub or old-school services charging you high-fees and confusing you with charts.

I was contemplating on giving IE a shot and transfer some of my Vanguard's portfolio over as in-specie. I started reading a bit more and came across the fact that the promised in-specie transfer out (since an eternity back) isn't available and with bot-like responses every time this is being asked.

People have bee so frustrated with this practice that they have started writing Open Letters to the IE bosses because it seems their questions and requests are all falling on deaf ears: https://community.investengine.com/t/open-letter-to-andrey-dobrynin-ceo-of-investengine/2405

That thread has other l

I've been tracking this for the past year or so on the forums (https://community.investengine.com/t/in-specie-transfer-out/889/136), it now seems according to this employee that you can now move to T212 in one swoop without the need to go to FreeTrade.

I just need to wait for my bonus period to end and then I will consider if I do actually wish to move.

I have to say it is often overlooked by many platforms but the reporting functions in InvestEngine is just great...full kudos to the dev team in charge of this feature.

I'm just after some thoughts and insights into my current situation...

Background is I have been using Hargreaves Lansdown for my S&S ISA, but given the recent fee increases, and after researching and considering other platforms, I have chosen InvestEngine.

I realise that IE only deal with ETF products and not individual stocks.

Investments in current HL include 1 global ETF that Invest Engine do have in their list of investment ETFs, and 1 stock that obviously can't be transferred. To note,.I do not wish to liquidate this stock, it's a long term hold. I also have a percentage of cash held within the S&S ISA account ready to invest by DCA over the months.

Other details before my queri

I'm fairly new to InvestEngine, but I have 3 different portfilos in my S&S ISA. I don't understand why I have cash in these portfolios from time to time? I've invested £200+ in XNAQ, yet now I have £1.61 cash in that portfolio. I invested all the cash I had. So where has that come from? I understand I can turn on AutoInvest, but I don't understand why this is a thing at all, this cash thing? It doesn't seem to be with other providers?

Most Brits are missing out on real investment growth - why? Because too much money is stuck in cash ISAs. While changes to ISAs are being discussed, the real challenge is shifting mindsets. With inflation eating away at cash savings, investing could unlock long-term financial growth. Emma Revell explores why a shake-up is needed and how better policies could make investing more accessible. More in City AM here: https://www.cityam.com/getting-brits-to-invest-will-take-more-than-tweaking-isas/
