About LS-DYNA:

LS-DYNA from LSTC is a highly powerful general-purpose finite element program capable of simulating complex real world problems. It is used by the automobile, aerospace, construction, military, manufacturing, and bioengineering industries. The code's origins lie in highly nonlinear, transient dynamic finite element analysis using explicit time integration. The latest revisions have strong support for multi-physics coupling with the primary, structural solver (heat transfer, fluids, electromagnetism, etc) as well as good support for NVH, aerodynamics, fatigue, ride, and handling.
