We have no idea anymore, everywhere is a compromise.

Pigeon Forge was once great, and does still have the ice dragon saga expansion, however they have gone seriously down hill in recent times. Dueling has been broken for years, they make arbitrary changes such as shortening encounters and changing sounds/images, and they have a habit of enabling features improperly leading to broken UIs. It is simply not a great legacy experience anymore.

As far as lodges go, Concord tends to be about the best. Despite encounter playback skips and LED strips being plastered everywhere now, the lodge tends to keep up on maintenance. This location also has the old Great Wolf exclusive legacy content (Ursa Major etc).

Wisconsin Dells, even if being under the ever questionable leadership of Great Wolf, is a unique location to visit. It is the last location to have the far superior "point n cast" dragon podium, and is a themed space as it was converted from a prior CK attraction.
