This subreddit is intended as an emergency backup for r/Media_Criticism should the subreddit ever be compromised by censorship - which it has. They ban perfectly legitimate state media and independent news sites. This sub does not.

The rules are as follows:

Be respectful at all times, unless of course that person doesn't deserve your respect.
"Good" examples of media are strongly encouraged! Please designate them with a [GOOD] tag

Not Allowed:

Anything unrelated to media or media criticism
Spam or advertising links are not allowed whatsoever.
Blatantly partisan material--Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders being denied fair media interviews is an example of media bias. A pundit going off on Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders for some reason or another on his/her own show is merely partisan.
Gaslighting

NOTE: Please use the REPORT BUTTON underneath a link or comment to help improve the level of discourse on this sub. That way I can keep this subreddit from becoming cancer. No one will be banned unless they violate the rules (Reddit site-wide rules included of course), but that doesn't mean I'll let this place become a partisan hellhole.

We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false. --- Former CIA director William Casey

The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media. --- Former CIA director William Colby

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of… We are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind. --- Edward Bernays
