Rules!

🏴‍☠️ 1. No Spam, Advertisements, or Shilling for unofficial / unlicensed products. READ THE PINNED POST!!! The only pirates we like are those on the High Seas! Don’t post links to unlicensed sellers or discuss how to pirate any Monkey Island media. Users who comment positively or support shill posts will also be banned, so use your head, don't support scammers, and don't be a sucker! Promoting ebay listings is also prohibited- the sub is not a yard sale!

🏴‍☠️ 2. Be Relevant (No Monkeys, Non-MI Games, or AI Content). All content must be directly relevant to the Monkey Island computer game franchise. This is not a subreddit for sharing content about monkeys, sharing a non-Monkey Island adventure game available to buy, or sharing any AI generated content (visit r/MonkeyAIsland).

🏴‍☠️ 3. Don't Be a Jerk - Be Respectful. We define this as being aggressive towards other users, causing nonconstructive arguments, the over zealous or repetitive assertion of critical opinions as fact (particularly in places where it is uncalled for, deliberately disruptive, or done to stir up negativity and drama), trolling, malicious or vindictive sarcastic remarks, and inciting/engaging in hatred, violence, or general unpleasantness. In short, add value to the community and uphold our standards, or you will be asked to move along.

🏴‍☠️ 4. Have Flair. Please select the appropriate flair for your post out of the following options: Secret of MI, Monkey Island 2, Curse of MI, Escape from MI, Tales of MI, Return to MI, General, Meme, Let's Play.

🏴‍☠️ 5. Let's Play! If you have an ongoing Monkey Island Playthrough to share, please only post the first episode. The subreddit looks ugly if you load it up with lots of video links. Link spamming posts will be removed.

🏴‍☠️ 6. Follow Reddit's Rules and "Reddiquette". Remember the human. When you communicate online, all you see is a computer screen. When talking to someone you might want to ask yourself "Would I say it to the person's face?" Any prejudice language or intent, such as sexism, racism, transphobia, homophobia and any other derogatory terms or hate speech, will result in a ban.
