I had to get a CT scan of my head and neck recently and they asked me what kind of music I would like and I said "something indie" ans the radiology tech goes "alternative? Like Big thief?" And I'm like, "sure, that's fine" figuring I would be listening to Americana the whole hour, which I'm not really a fan of, but I can tolerate that more than pop/top 40 stuff, which is what I usually end up being forced to listen to. To my surprise, the first song that came on was Inept Apollo. The second song that came on was Billion by Caroline Polachek - both favorite artists of mine. Never in my life have I had music I can tolerate during a long radiology scan. It super made my day.

Check it out if you haven't listened to it yet. It's pretty great. I love the minimalism.
Honestly, a Nation of Language album of covers would surely rock. I'm not sure if I want that or a live album more.
Both? Why not both?
