Pep Talks With Pops

r/PepTalksWithPops

When you just need a talk with your dad. When you need understanding, congratulations, praise, or advice from a father figure, but don't have one at the moment in real life whether it be from loss, they are busy, or just aren't present. We are here for you, we love you, and we are proud of you.

No Dad Rants or "Dead Dad" fill ins. We are not here for you to take out your negative emotions associated with your father, and we are not here for you to discuss things with your "dead dad" that you did not get to in life. Those things are important, and should be handled carefully with a therapist. Any hateful posts or posts that encourage our users to console you as if they were your dead parent are going to be removed.

We are not a dedicated suicide help forum. We are all here to support each other-and will do our best to support each other within reason, we are not professionals. If you are feeling like you are suicidal, we highly recommend seeking the help of a professional, or a more dedicated forum such as r/SuicideWatch or r/Depression or your local mental health hotlines. If you are in the USA, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline can be reached 24/7 @ 1-800-273-8255. We love you.
