##WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH EASTASIA

Your job, if you choose to accept it, is to make the insane sound rational. Put on your best Apologist's frock and prove once and for all that anything is justifiable.

Inspired by u/terkrockerfeller's crazy idea here.

Rules:

No bigotry (racism, sexism, use of slurs)
Submissions must be clearly (ostensibly) non-rationalizable. If your position has room for reasonable debate somewhere like r/ChangeMyView, it doesn't belong here
Top level comments must be an attempt to rationalize OP's point of view. Low effort responses will be removed.

Bad attitudes will be handled with prejudice. If your actions and subsequent interactions with the mod team suggest you cannot play nicely, don't expect much leniency.

A low effort comment that disparages another user or calls for violence against a group without an apparent attempt at developing a character or point of view for your rationalization will result in a ban (Rule 3). Edgy is only funny when it carries substance and a point of view. Edge for edge's sake is bad and you should feel bad if that's the extent of your humor.

This sub is meant to mock post-truth partisanship, not incubate it. If the responses here start making too much sense to you, here is some reading to get you back on track:
