Please be respectful and use tact when responding to posts. Imagine if you were in OPs shoes before posting something sarcastic or rude. We were all ignorant kids at one point and Sex Ed definitely isn't great across the board in the States and some countries don't teach it at all. This is meant to be a place for users to find comfort and advice, not ridicule.

Do you have education, professional experience, certifications, etc. that you feel are relevant and lend credence to your responses? Feel free to message the mods proof of your credentials alongside your handwritten username and we will be happy to grant you a username flair.

If you include some type of medical imaging in your post (such as a picture of a sonogram, x-ray, CT, MRI, etc. Please make sure that you completely cover or crop your personal information from the image.

You are welcome to include relevant pictures in the body of your post. Upload pictures to an image hosting site (such as imgur, photobucket, etc.) and paste the link into your post to include a picture.

NOTE: This sub is not intended to provide medical advice (beyond suggesting that if you are worried, you should go see an MD to discuss your concerns). The sub is intended to help calm the anxiety that comes with a potential STD infection through education, awareness, and prevention techniques. If you have concerns about your health, please seek a health care provider to address the concerns you have. No subreddit's contents can replace actual medical care from a physician.
