Secret history, cryptohistory, pseudohistory

Lost continents, alternate chronologies, lost civilizations, Nazi wizards, Templar survivals, Masonic conspiracies: if it's history, non-fiction and (probably) not real, it belongs here!

SecretHistory is a place to discuss non-mainstream, alternate views on history from a mainstream perspective. If you think the Rosicrucian plot to replace monarchies with a pan-European republic is a fun and funny topic, this is the place for you. If you think it's serious, maybe not.

The Rules:

1-Don't be a dick

2-Use NP when linking to reddit threads

3-No brigading

4-No malicious summoning of reddit users

5-Don't grammar spam or your post will be deleted, linked to r/badlinguistics and/or you might be banned. I'm serious.

6-Tag your threads and links NSFW as appropriate

To summarize: Don't be a dick.

Discussions of non-fiction alternate history is what this sub is for, detailed takedowns are more suited to r/BadHistory, r/ShitWehraboosSay, etc. Contemporary conspiracy stuff is more suited to r/TopMindsofReddit and r/Conspiratard. If your post fits both here and elsewhere, crossposting is allowed and encouraged!
