Welcome. This is a sub where we discuss very painful feelings, of guilt, shame, remorse, regret, embarrassment, and humiliation. Therefore, it is essential that we create a place where people feel safe, respected, valued, and understood. Here are the rules for this sub:

Posts: Posts need to be related to shame or guilt in yourself or someone close to you. Occasional memes are allowed but the goal should be to encourage supportive discussions.
Replies: No criticism, debate, talking down to others, giving advice by referring to your own achievements, or other forms of ignoring or invalidating the OP. Understanding, support, and validation are key objectives.
Content: Low-content posts are discouraged.
Clinical advice: You may discuss diagnoses and therapies but do not ask or provide clinical advice, promote quick fixes, oppose treatments, etc.
Triggers: If your post discusses potentially triggering issues, include a trigger warning in the title.
Drugs: No discussion of where to get drugs.
Self-harm: Do not encourage self-harm.
Surveys: Surveys must be approved by a mod before being posted.
Self-promotion: No self-promotion (of writing, blogs, etc.)
Money: No request for financial help. Having said that, I hope that, whoever you are and wherever you come from, you find some comfort and support here.
