Welcome to the Sheffield LGBTQ+ Subreddit.

Sheffield is a wonderful city and home to many of us, whether you have lived here all your life or are a visiting student at one of the universities.

Though our metro area is one of the largest in the country the LGBTQ+ community is slighlty under-represented. This Subreddit aims to help the inclusivity of the community.

As a community we still face a great deal of abuse and criticism in the world, so first please remember to be kind to each other.

PLEASE DO

Introduce yourself.
Share personal experiences.
Help others.
Make friends.

PLEASE DON'T

There is to be no hate speech here, any bullying, racism, homophobic, transphobic, or sexist speech is not acceptable.
This is not a sex pick-up spot, there are enough sites and apps for pick-ups around, if you want to get involved with someone do it privately.
Images are allowed, but sexual imagery and nudity is not allowed, unless it is artwork in which the title must begin with NSFW.
No images of underage children, If you feel that someone is inciting inappropriate behaviour with children please report this to the authorities.
No Spam.
Be safe, remember that although this is a safe space we are still online, so do not give out personal information such as home addresses, phone numbers or bank details. If you arrange to meet with someone, let someone know or go with a friend.
