A place to talk about walking. Not so much walking in the sense you just walked from the kitchen to the bathroom, but walking for the sake of exercise and self-fulfillment. It's not a damn contest, be considerate and encourage all efforts no matter the distance or time involved. Pictures of your walks are encouraged, pictures of your cat not so much.

This is a place to talk about walking. Not so much walking in the sense you just walked from the kitchen to the bathroom, but walking for the sake of exercise and self-fulfillment.

Walking for an hour a day can have a significant impact on your life. You can lose weight, feel better, have more energy, and slowly and incrementally improve your quality of life. Walking alone will not bring about a miracle of weight loss and self-improvement, good diet is another key ingredient. Add in other types of physical activities as well, but at the base of it all, walking can be an excellent foundation for those of us who aren't keen on bashing our knees into a pulp or just don't mind taking our time.

It's not a contest, be considerate and encourage all efforts no matter the distance or time involved.
