Teens Who Write: A Place for Young Writers to Share Their Work and Get Tips

r/teenswhowrite

Teens Who Write is a place for young writers to get information on writing, develop their craft, share their work, and communicate with other young writers. Our goal is to keep teens writing by connecting them with their peers and celebrating their work. We also invite older writers to join us and potentially become mentors and offer advice and experience.

WELCOME TO TEENS WHO WRITE!

My name is Nimoon and I am a teen librarian and a writer. I started this sub to create a place where young writers could go to share their work and hone their craft. Read our rules below before posting, and more than anything, please be respectful of your peers.

THE RULES

Statement of Purpose: Teens Who Write is a place for young writers to get information on writing, develop their craft, share their work, and communicate with other young writers. Our goal is to keep teens writing by connecting them with their peers and celebrating their work. We also invite more experienced writers to become mentors and offer advice and experience, but remember this is a sub for teens, and adult visitors should behave and be respectful to their younger peers.

1. POSTS MUST BE WRITING OR BOOK RELATED.

Posts that do not relate to writing or books will be removed.

2. ALL POSTS SHOULD BE TAGGED or FLAIRED

To the best of your ability, tag/flair each post with one of the following.

[Q] : A writing related question.

[WB] : World Building post. Have a world, want some fresh eyes on it? Use this tag. This works too for help with outlines or character ideas.

[News] : Recent news related to writing.

[Resource] : An article/link/post that relates to craft of writing.

[AMA] : Check with the mod team before posting an AMA. We love having publishing professionals and writers post AMA's here with helpful insights into publishing. Send us a modmail.

3. ALL [NEWS] AND [RESOURCE] POSTS MUST CONTAIN A TOP-LEVEL COMMENT

Please write a comment about why you enjoyed the resource of how someone else might find it helpful. This will help encourage discussion.

4. BE RESPECTFUL AND PROFESSIONAL

Disagreement is expected, but outright rudeness will not be tolerated, especially toward critiques. Be critical, but don't be rude. We will not tolerate anything that could be or is damaging to the community. See the rules for more information.

5. NO SOLICITATION

While some self promotion will be allowed, such as this is my blog with my writing, blatant attempt at sales, advertising, or any other solicitation will not be permitted. Reach out to the moderators if you have questions. We reserve the right to delete any post that we feel breaches this rules without notice.

Also please do not post attempting to direct discussion to another blog or forum.
