Information About The Hum

r/TheHum

The Hum is a low-frequency (low-pitch) noise heard around the world. The sound is typically described as being like an engine idling, a low rumbling or droning noise. Many people say they're the only ones in their household who can hear it. Low-frequency hums have many external sources connected to living in an industrial society. They can also be internally generated. This subreddit is devoted to providing no-nonsense information and community for folks who hear a low-frequency hum.
