Total Annihilation, or TA for short, is a real-time strategy video game developed by Cavedog Entertainment under Chris Taylor, and released on Sept. 9, 1997. It was the first RTS game in history to feature fully 3D units and terrain and is the spiritual predecessor of the RTS games Supreme Commander and Planetary Annihilation.

Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, or TA:K for short, is a real-time strategy game set in the medieval world of Darien. It was developed by Cavedog Entertainment, released on June 25, 1999, and it was their last major title. It is the second installment in the Total Annihilation franchise. However, it is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the original Total Annihilation, and there are many thematic and design differences between the two games.
