We use the 1a to 4C+ (pin straight to coily) Hair Typing System by Andre Walker to *superficially* judge the potential for texture your hair has. Please keep in mind that hair type may change based on care regimen, hormonal changes, and time. These categories are not strict and it is extremely common to have a multitude of curl types on one head. All textures are beautiful!
