What is EOS?

EOS is an open-source distributed blockchain operating system with a focus on bringing decentralized applications to the masses. The vision of EOS is that everyday users will, in the near future, be able to run dapps from mobile devices with no specialized knowledge - just as they currently do with apps downloaded from the App Store.
