Does it need a street to be a street photograph?

Short answer: no.

Flaneurism celebrates the candid and democratic nature of street photography while detaching itself from it's inherit/limiting environment: the street.

Be it at a public use of space, or an intimate private function, it is not where you photograph, but how you photograph. It is not what you see, rather how you see it.
