This is a place for posting high resolution, printable images of art.

Works in public domain/creative commons:

These can be legally printed. Ask your local printer and they'll print them on the high quality paper of your choice. You end up with some cool art to hang for a fraction of the price of buying the pre-printed stuff. The catalog of art you can choose from on the internet is massive, which is why this method can get you some usually hard to find or original stuff.

Works not in public domain/creative commons:

Not legal to print these, for the most part. If it is a work by an independent artist ask them if its ok to print or check if they have prints available. Chain printers won't print anything copyrighted (Kinko's etc).

Guidelines:

Please try to avoid downvoting unless there is a glaring error in the post. Not personally liking the artist/work of art is not a reason to downvote a post.
Posts of art should contain the name of the artist and the name of the work, if known.
Background information on the work on is encouraged...simply to give a little more substance, context and meaning to the work.

Printing:

A good rule of thumb is to take the dimensions of the image and divide each by 300. That gives you the dimensions (in inches) for 300dpi resolution, which is the image resolution professional publications require for printing.

How to find high-res prints:

Use your favorite Image search that has filters for resolution. Start the search with something specific, a name of an artist or work you personally like.

aaaand go.
