Name That Book

r/namethatbook

We will be private during the 48 hour reddit boycott due to the ridiculous updated api fees aimed at getting rid of third party apps. Let's play a game: tell us about a book. Tell us the plot, characters, writing style, themes. Just don't tell us the name. We get to guess what you're talking about. Bonus: this sub is also useful if you remember a story but have forgotten the title.

Let's play a game: tell us about a book. Tell us the plot, characters, writing style, themes. Just don't tell us the name. We get to guess what you're talking about.

Digital prizes to the first user in a post to correctly guess the name of the book.

By digital prizes, we mean upvotes and little "good job!" stars. We appreciate you, but we aren't made of money here.

RULES
1. No googling keywords! You're on the honor system: if you don't know the story, don't try and guess the book. Don't want to ruin the fun by making it a who-can-google-faster contest.
2. Make your post titles useful for guessing the story as well. "A book I read" is too vague; "A story about love and loss and airborne terrapins" is more useful. You can even make it a riddle if you like.
3. If somebody guesses your book correctly (and is the first to do it), you can reward them with one of these babies: ☆ . Just copy and paste. No, it has no special powers or privileges. It is just a star. It does give you a bit of local street cred though. We're old school like that.
4. When your book has been correctly guessed, please mark your post with the Solved! flair. (available in the options under your post heading)

5. You can flag your posts as [NHR] for Need Help Remembering if you just can't remember the book name. This can allow googling to help your fellow redditors. We recommend using r/whatsthatbook instead, though - figuring out the name of that book you've forgotten is what these peeps do.
