A cathartic catch-all for those suffering mentally

r/outofmymind

There are several anxiety/depression/suicidewatch subreddits out there, but I wanted to create something that's a bit random but still related. If you need advice, to rant, to post art/poetry/prose/your life story, make a meme, just tell us about your experience so we can benefit. I and hopefully other members have suffered from a mental illness and am willing to share my experiences.

Post anything you like to help relieve those feelings. If you like to write, post poetry or prose. Post articles on mental illnesses. Tell us about any little or big thing that is bugging you. Rant about your friend/neighbor/that jerk at the store. Cuss over it. Pour your heart out. Just get it out of your mind.

Just one rule so far-please don't try to "one-up" on a new thread. Allow people to post their content without commenting about how much harder you have it. It's okay to share common experiences or stories, but any bitter bickering or other drama will be moderated.

If you are feeling suicidal, you are free to post here, but please also consider suicidewatch. If you are in immediate danger of self-harm, please call 911. There are no guarantees on either subreddit that you will get an immediate response.

This subreddit is not in competition with other depression subreddits. It is meant as a companion to those, but is more of a place where you can get out your feelings in any way you'd like.
