Hello guys,

I am kind of new to Linux and I am looking to get a Red Hat certificate in order to get System Admin job and I current have a CCNA and CCNP under my belt but without any real world experience. My question is...is there any prerequisite to getting RHCSA certification?

I'll be taking RHCSA and RHCE exams this month. Have you taken RHCSA and RHCE exams this year? If so, please share your score, country of sitting, and what was the unexpected part or most difficult content you faced during the exam? Any difficulties using the terminal or otherwise? TIA

Actually got it a couple weeks ago , feels like an actual accomplishment !

Though I'm wondering how I would report that the testing center REALLY needs to upgrade their equipment? Time was lost due to a lack of system performance

Hello all,

Recently (some days ago) I noticed on redhat training site that they start implementing the RHEL8 training (previously I was studing for the RHCSA on RHEL7).

I booked the exam last April to take it on June, and it was about RHEL7. Today everything change and all exams from June on, will be on RHEL 8. I called and the guy on the phone just said, sorry, the exam will be on RHEL8.

There are some minor changes (they got rid of VMs for instance) and put new stuff (like tuning).

Looks like the big changes are for RHCE.

Did it also happened to you that you were expecting to take the exam on RHEL7 and now it turned into RHEL8?

Hi guys I am getting little confused with the examination procedure is it compulsory to take training from their official partner which is very expensive for me now.

I am planning to self study for it.

Will appreciate any advice

Thank you

What's the usual time to pass

I just started and assumed it was a pretty standard looking course content, 8-12 weeks, am I way off?

Hey guys,

I have some basic Linux experience. I am planning to prepare for rhcsa exam and take it in two months from now. For preparation, I have access to Linux academy RHCSA videos and I have got Michael Jang's rhcsa/rhce book.

In what order should I start my preps? The book and the Linux academy RHCSA videos or vice versa?

In Linux academy video, they suggest doing LPI Linux essentials first though it's not required.

Please advise!

I was scheduled to take my rhcsa exam next week, but the training center I was going to take my test at (Austin, TX) abruptly closed down. I got an email cancelling my test. :( This was a renewal. They have rescheduled my exam so many times that my rhcsa has expired. Now I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to take my exam. :( It is just getting more and more difficult to take the exam and wondering if it's worth it.
