Hello everyone, this will be my first update since beginning work on the site a few days ago. So far I have made significant progress on the site and while I currently have no timeline for the site other than finish it at this rate it you will not be waiting long and I would like to personally thank everyone who has been here since this project was started a year ago. We have had a long road here but we will be there soon.
Now regarding the site I have done the following so far:
-
Implemented my person framework which handles the core of the website and modified it so it better suites Rodev. This framework handles:
-
Custom Routing
-
MVC Hierarchy
-
Database Abstraction Layer
-
Inpu
I haven't seen anyone post here in awhile is this project abandoned?
So far, progress is good on Rodev. (You can still check on planned features over on https://trello.com/b/wP4PQueq/rodev-development.)
We're working on an eventual planned networks feature, but as of right now progress on the site is around 20% but so far a decent amount of backend coding is getting done. The site is coming along nicely.
I am interested to hear what you'd like to see from RoDev. It would be my pleasure to add what you guys want. Let me hear your voice, you have a say in what I should add. Before you suggest though, here is already what's in RoDev's future:
- Public Chat
- Learning Page (Where are the tutorials will be)
- A blog that will keep you up to date with developer news
- Site messaging system
- Forums
Obviously there is more than that, but those are some bigger ideas. Please do not be afraid to voice what you have in mind. I'd love to see what fantastic features you guys see RoDev having!
You all have been waiting for so long. It's been an on and off thing and it's quite sad actually. I'm here. I'm here to finish what needs to be finished. It's embarrassing we've asked you to wait as long as you have. I promise you this: this site will get finished.
It might not be the best at first, but I will find people who can help the site with the content it needs. As of now, I've taken over development myself. I don't know what happened to 25564, that will forever be a mystery. For now, let's keep our heads held high!
I've recently started new development, so everything is new. The host I am running it on will keep us up all the time! I'm dedicating my money and time to this, beca
Progress on the site has been slow recently as I am currently on the other side of the country working as a Junior Web Developer. I should be back home within the next two weeks, however in this time I have got some work done and gained astronomical amounts of experience and knowledge.
I hope to bring all these newly found expertise back to Rodev so we can make it better than ever.
I have done very little frontend the past weeks so I am sorry but there really isn't much I can post pictures of here, however I have done a lot of the backend programming for the learning systems so I will now start taking applications for writers here and on Roblox
Well let me start this off by saying I really have not achieved anything frontend this week as I have spent most of the week developing the backend and general optimizations.
So far I have improved existing features, worked on a secret feature (I need some surprises) and the other feature I have created is a localized bookmark system, which stores your favorite pages and allows you quickly swap between pages and easily go back to loaded pages.
