##Before handling a firearm. Remember, and remind those around you to:

Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

When posting, please include the general location(area of state), your state abbreviation e.g. [KS], and whether you are looking to learn[LtL] or willing to teach[WtT] in the title.

A proper post should look like this:

[WtT] [KS] Looking for partner in City of Townsville

If you are wanting to try out a gun in your area, use the tag [WtS] = Want to Shoot. Put the name of the gun in the title and your location.

If you are looking to learn, search the subreddit for the tag [WtT] to find anyone who has posted in your area before.

In the text include a more localized location(nearby city/gun range). Also include any other useful information (guns available, time/dates available, etc).

If you do find someone to go with, please post a range report with tag [RR] preceding your title. In said report, please detail your experience with the user including details like did they teach you well, were they nice or respectful, and most importantly was the experience safe. If you're the teacher, describe the person you took with you and if they handled things responsibly. If a mod receives confirmation from both involved parties, both student and teacher will receive appropriate flair (Teacher = Approved Teacher and learner = Approved student).
