Westerosi Strongwine from Game of Thrones
1/2 oz gin (The Botanist)
1 oz sweet vermouth (Antica Formula)
3/4 oz Aperol
2 oz red wine (Apothic Dark)
2-3 dashes Angostura

Add all ingredients to shaker with ice, shake and strain into glass. Garnish with orange peel if desired.

My second GoT drink recipe that takes another already established cocktail, the Negroni, and adds the ever abundant in Westeros, red wine. It was definitely not what I was expecting as seen in my reaction after tasting it. 😅 The aperol almost takes over entirely but after a few sips I could taste the wine coming through. Maybe 1/2 oz of aperol would be better…
