Welcome to The 10th Dentist

1 in 10 dentists do not recommend Colgate, and the public seems to brush off this opinion. Show us how you channel your inner 10th Dentist whether it was in your field of expertise, education, or in an everyday situation and tell us harsh truth while explaining why you think that.

###Post Flairs:

#####Mandatory:

Meta - For all posts referencing or discussing this subreddit. *(not Rule 1 bound)

Discussion: for discussions. Reserved for very serious topics only. Moderation will be swift and harsh in these threads, so tread lightly. Abuse of this flair will not be tolerated lightly.

Circle Jerk - When a mod doesn't like a meta thread.

####Meta, and Circle Jerk posts are not subject to Rule 1. Upvote as you would normally on reddit; that being if you like the post's message.

#####Not Mandatory (but recommended):

Hot Take - For extra spicy opinions where everyone needs to remember: upvote if you disagree
Music - I don't need to explain this do I?
Food - Seriously, 90% get removed. Include a picture for proof if it's just a weird food combination.
Gaming - This can include board games too!
Sports - When it's no longer 'just a game'
TV/Movie - Movies and Television
Books - Literature
Expert Analysis - Those who are writing text-walls about why they think what they do. Bonus points for being an actual expert.

#Rules

It's the golden rule: Upvote if you disagree - downvote if you agree. In the event you feel the post is just low quality or has flawed logic, report the post - at a certain number of reports, the post will automatically come under review, but only if the post is really just not good at all, not because you disagree. Also this rule does not apply to Meta or circlejerk posts (see above)
No politics

Posts about politics are prohibited. This includes social/philosophical topics such as gender-identity, religion, or human rights.

All posts must have clear titles and detailed explanations

Be clear and concise in your post title/opinion/view, and avoid being either vague or nebulous in your opinions point. We should be able to know what you're talking about before clicking.
Make sure to thoroughly describe your opinion so that anyone can clearly understand it. Low effort short posts will be removed.
Make sure that your post is about matters of opinion, and not matters of fact.

No Reposts

If a duplicate or similar post has been made within the last 30 days, it will be removed.

No bad faith / harmful post

Post involving ideas, behaviors, or opinions which can be deemed imminently destructive, dangerous, or harmful to either OP or others will not be tolerated. Along with this are bad-faith posts, such as nonsensical or absurdist ideas like 'I wear shoes on the wrong feet because it feels better'. If something nears too much to being contrary to otherwise objective reasoning, it will be removed.

Zero tolerance against racist slurs, blatant bigotry, and excessive bad trolling

Be excellent to each other.
No excessive trolling, targeted harassment, or racism - obey Reddit TOS and abide by Reddiquette: Remember the human.

No Low Effort Posts

Post text must be 200 characters at minimum.

No weird food posts except on Fridays

Any sort of post pertaining to an odd food or drink opinion should be posted only on Fridays. No exceptions.

#Similar Communities:

r/WrongNotOpinion - where you're not being opinonated, you're just objectively wrong. You broke rule 5 here, so now go post there. Or post a screenshot of the post you saw here before it got removed.

r/StupidFood - is it not Friday and you have a picture of some incredibly 'unique', and often absurd combination of food? Feel free to toss that over on r/StupidFood. Food-related posts, both link and text posts, are still completely welcome on Friday though!

r/Rant - Are you upset? Really wanna vent about an issue but worried it's a little too inflammatory for this subreddit? Well, air your grievances in r/Rant, where basically you can express any opinion you feel strongly about. Good for topics that might be controversial, and otherwise be given a 'discussion' flair here.

r/heatedarguments - A place to post your really controversial opinions and proceed to defend or criticize others for theirs.

r/TrueUnpopularOpinion - a sub where the post's opinion is so unpopular, they're sure to share topics with us. They avoid controversial topics, those being ones that remain around 50% split, i.e. 0/1 karma posts. If you must post anything political, this is the community to do it in. Here and r/Unpopularopinion are not.

r/DoesAnybodyElse - for when you're genuinely curious; "Does anybody else do/think [this]?" Not sure if your opinion is disagreeable, or just wondering if that weird thing you do or think is shared by others? This is the place for you.

r/changemyview - for when you feel your idea isn't right, and want to see if someone can change your perspective.

r/AmItheAsshole - where a single user explains an instance of when they were labeled an ass hole in their day to day life, asking if they are, in fact, being an ass hole.
