With uMatrix now being archived only now I realised how lucky we all were.

Thank you, Raymond and uMatrix development team.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this issue? It started happening just after a crash. As soon as I disable the addon pages load fine. I've tried rebooting both my computer and Firefox but neither helped.

From what I can tell by looking at my pi-hole logs, it doesn't look like the browser is even getting to the point where it sends the DNS request.

I'm in Windows 10, Firefox 74.0, and uMatrix 1.4.0

[Win 7, Firefox 68.3.0esr, uMatrix 1.4.0]

Whenever I attempt to save seemingly any web page with the "Save Page As..." command the result is always "Failed" unless I disable uMatrix.

Is this a known problem? I've used uMatrix for years in the same manner (whitelist) and have never had a problem. What is new for me is Firefox 68 ESR.

A quick search revealed this potentially related thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/9wnlb4/saving_web_pages_fails_when_ublock_origin_is/e9na6x4/

I don't have much time to troubleshoot this right now. It is an annoyance however, so I'm hoping there might be a known quick fix.

Thanks,

David

Hello this post tries to be a small corner of the big enthusiast users of uMatrix extension. Now that the project stalled indefinitely we would like to ask devs and specially the main dev Raymond Hill to reignite the project due to the new challenges that emerge every day in order to track people and hog their browsing experience. uBlockOrigin the other project from the same devs it's absolutely fantastic but it can not do what uMatrix did extraordinary blocking scripts (and not only) with high granularity (specially java scripts). So here we should make some noise and hopefully devs gonna hear us and with a bit of luck and perseverance from this community gathered here maybe we can do what
