I have a weird ADHD story to share. Am I being delusional making duas like this?
Salam aleykum, I want to share this weird story here (not in general muslim sub reddits who don't understand us) and like to hear your opinion whether if this is a coincidence or from Allah swt who knows all my sad story. It's pretty long but please bear with me.
I have ADHD with emotional dysregulation, anxiety and trauma. I live alone in an apartment (find it a lot easier to practise the deen) and can't get along with people nor have any good memories with families. The only people I gravitate toward are those with mental illness like me without the filter.
For 20+ years I just go home with my heads kept down from school and work, rinse rise and repeat until one encounter back in October that turned my life upside down. I crossed path with a non-Muslim woman along the corridor and we both said morning but with the way she act and her demeanor reminds a lot like myself so my "hyperfixation" took over my body and I couldn't control it.
So I just went straight to the point and told her do you wanna eat? Just like that. The ADHD way without thinking and her response? Okay, i'll meet you there then my inner thought was "what did just happen", "how did I just quickly unmask myself to her" and "why did it feel like we knew each other"? If that was a normal woman, I would have been reported.
Anyway, it turned out that she has the exact same mental illness as me, uses amphetamine and we're both in our 30s. We behave like 12 years old, her unmasked emotional dysregulation constantly feeds my dopamine and I told her about my religion and the upcoming Ramadan. Since that day, i've been pondering wth just happened and if that's a coincidence?
Fast forward to February two weeks before Ramadan started, she stopped calling so I got the feeling that Allah wanted me to make Tauba which I did, locked in Tarawih and Tahajjud consecutively and i'm fully committed to Laylat Qadr to intensively make Duas to guide her to Islam so we can marry. Am I being delusional here?
